Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement (Chevrolet)

Removal Procedure


1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the defroster grille.
3. Remove the end caps.
4. Open the instrument panel compartment.
5. Remove the screws at the top of the instrument panel compartment.
6. Remove the trim plate bezel.




7. Remove all of the hex head screws (1) attaching the instrument panel trim pad (2).
8. Remove the instrument panel trim pad (2) from the instrument panel.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the pad (2) to the instrument panel.
2. Install the hex head screws (1) attaching the trim pad (2) to the instrument panel.
3. Install the trim plate bezel.
4. Install the screws for the instrument panel compartment.
5. Install the end caps.
6. Install the defroster grille.
7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
