Hood Replacement

Removal Procedure






Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

1. Raise the hood (1).
2. Place protective covering over the adjacent body panels.
3. Remove the hinge hood pivot bolts (3).
4. Remove the hood (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the hood (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the hinge hood pivot bolts (1).

Tighten the hood pivot bolts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

3. Align the hood. Refer to Hood Adjustment.
