Fog Lamp Aiming Procedure

PREPARATION

IMPORTANT: Horizontal aim is not adjustable on this vehicle. Vertical aim is done by an adjusting nut located on the rear of the fog lamp. Prior to aiming the headlamps, the following steps must be taken:
^ Completely assemble all of the components on the vehicle.
^ Place the vehicle on a level surface.
^ Stop all unnecessary operations or work on the vehicle that affect the vehicle trim.
^ Close the doors and verify that the trunk is empty.
^ Stabilize the suspension and check with tire pressure.
^ Ensure that the fuel level is full.
^ Rock the vehicle sideways.
^ Ensure that the tires are inflated to the proper pressure.
^ Ensure that the driver or a similar weight (approximately 165 lbs) is in the vehicle driver seat.

1. Park the vehicle 7.6 m (25 feet) away from the target screen.
2. Measure from center of fog lamp to ground line.
3. Turn fog lamps on, the top of the fog lamp beam image on the target screen should be 101.6 mm (4 in) below center of fog lamp lens height. Refer to Headlamp Aiming.
4. Adjust the fog lamp as required, using the adjusting nut on the rear of the fog lamp.
