Tilt Lever

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the 3 Tore' head screws from the lower column trim cover (3).
2. Remove the upper column trim cover (1) tilting up and unsnapping from the lower column trim cover (3) hinges.
3. Remove the lower column trim cover (3) from the steering column (2).





4. Pull out on the retaining pin securing the tilt steering wheel lever (2).
5. Snap out the tilt steering wheel lever (2) by pulling firmly in an outward direction.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the lower column trim cover (3) to the steering column (2).
2. Install the upper column trim cover (1) to the steering column (2).

Notice: Refer to fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the Torx head screws to the lower steering column trim cover (3).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2N m(18 inch lbs.).




4. Snap in the tilt steering wheel lever (2) by pushing in firmly.
