Front Seat Replacement - Bucket

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system, if the seat is equipped with a driver side air bag. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Position the seat forward and in the full up position.
3. Remove the track covers from the seat adjuster. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement).




4. Remove the seat belt nut from the front seat track.
5. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement).




6. Remove the bolts which secure the seat adjuster to the floor pan at the rear of the seat.
7. Disengage the seat hook attachments from the floor pan.
8. Tip the seat back and disconnect the following connectors, if equipped.

* The power seat electrical connector
* The electrical seat heater connector
* The driver side air bag electrical connector

9. Remove the front bucket seat.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the front bucket seat into place.
2. Tip the seat back and connect the following connectors, if equipped.

* The power seat electrical connector
* The electrical seat heater connector
* The driver side air bag electrical connector

3. Engage the seat hook attachments to the floor pan.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the bolts which secure the front bucket seat adjuster to the floor pan.

Tighten the bolts to 42 Nm (31 lb ft).

5. Install the adjuster track covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement).




6. Install the seat belt nut to the front seat stud.

Tighten the nut to 42 Nm (31 lb ft).

7. Install the head restraint. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement).
8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
9. Inspect the seat for proper operation and adjustment.
10. Position the seat to the original position.
