Front Fender Replacement
Removal Procedure
Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.
1. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
* The 6 bolts
* The 8 plastic retainers
* The front wheelhouse panel liner (1)
2. Remove the front turn signal lamp mounting screw (1).
3. Remove the front turn signal lamp (2) from the vehicle.
4. Disconnect the front turn signal lamp electrical connector.
5. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) in Bumpers.
6. Remove the front fender (1) to rocker panel bolt.
7. Remove the 2 front fender to door jamb (3) bolts.
8. Remove the top 4 front fender (1) bolts.
9. Remove the 2 bolts (2) and 1 nut (3) at the front of the front fender.
10. Remove the front fender (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
1. Install the front fender (1) to the vehicle. Secure the fender with the 2 bolts (2) and 1 nut (3).
Tighten the front fender bolts and nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
2. Install the top 4 front fender (1) bolts.
Tighten the top front fender bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
3. Install the 2 door jamb (3) to front fender bolts.
Tighten the door jamb to front fender bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
4. Install the front fender (1) to rocker panel bolt.
Tighten the front fender to rocker panel bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
5. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) in Bumpers.
6. Connect the front turn signal lamp connector.
7. Install the front turn signal lamp (2) to the vehicle. Secure the lamp with the mounting screw.
8. Install the front wheelhouse panel liner (1) to the vehicle. Secure the panel with the 6 bolts and the 8 plastic retainers.
Tighten the wheelhouse panel liner bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
