Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the intake manifold
2. Disconnect the Knock Sensor (KS) electrical connector(2).
3. Remove the KS(1) from the engine block.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Component Tightening Notice in Service and Precautions.

1. Install the KS (1) to the engine block.

Tighten
Tighten the KS to the engine block to 39 N.m (29 lb ft).

2. Connect the KS electrical connector (2).
3. Install the intake manifold.
