Torque Sequence

- For vehicles equipped with an Automatic Transmission, install the flywheel retaining bolts (1-8) to the crankshaft.
- Tighten the eight flywheel retaining bolts in the sequence shown for Automatic Transmission to 83 Nm (61 ft. lbs.).







- For vehicles equipped with a Manual Transmission, install the flywheel retaining bolts to the crankshaft and torque the bolts in two steps.
- 1st Step-Tighten the eight flywheel retaining bolts in the sequence shown for Manual Transmission to 49 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).




- Perform the final torque on the manual transmission flywheel retaining bolts.
- 2nd Step-After the proper torque of 49 Nm (36 ft. lbs.) has been reached, use a J 36660-A and tighten the flywheel bolts an additional 90 degrees.
