Recirculation Door Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the HVAC module assembly.
2. Lift the recirculation actuator lock tab and slide the recirculation actuator off the mounting bracket.
3. Disconnect the vacuum actuator plunger rod from the recirculation lever and remove the recirculation actuator.
4. Remove the recirculation housing retaining screws (1).
5. Remove the recirculation housing (2) from the HVAC module assembly.
6. Remove the recirculation door (1) from the recirculation housing (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the recirculation door.
2. Align the retaining tabs and install the recirculation housing (2) to the HVAC module assembly.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the recirculation housing screws.

Tighten
Tighten the recirculation housing screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

4. Connect the recirculation actuator plunger rod to the recirculation door lever, then extend the plunger.
5. Install the recirculation actuator on to the mounting bracket of the HVAC assembly.

IMPORTANT: Inspect the recirculation actuator pushrod for binding on the recirculation door lever.

6. Install the HVAC module assembly.
