Instrument Panel (IP) - Air Deflector/Louver - Center

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
2. Grind the material from the heat stakes at the base of the center air outlet deflector.
3. Remove the center air outlet deflector from the instrument panel cluster trim plate.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the center air outlet deflector to the remaining unused heat stakes.

IMPORTANT: If no unused heat stakes are available, apply Loctite(R) Black Max P/N 38050, or equivalent and Perma Bond(R) accelerator P/N QFF16, or equivalent to the existing heat stakes.

2. Melt the new heat stakes tabs using an soldering iron with a wide tip.
3. Inspect the center air outlet deflector for proper operation.
4. Install the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
