Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair
MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) SENSOR REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the mass air flow (MAF) sensor (3).
2. Remove the 2 MAF sensor fasteners (2).
3. Remove the MAF sensor (3) from the air cleaner housing (5).
4. Remove the O-ring (4).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install a new O-ring (4) on the MAF sensor.
2. Install the MAF sensor (3) into the air cleaner housing (5).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Secure the MAF sensor with the 2 fasteners (2).
Tighten
Tighten the 2 fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
4. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector (1).
