DOOR AJAR INDICATOR DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

DOOR AJAR INDICATOR
The IPC illuminates the door ajar indicator when the ignition is on and the body control module (BCM) detects that one of the vehicle's doors is ajar (signal circuit is low). The BCM sends a message to the IPC via the serial peripheral interface (SPI) requesting illumination. The BCM also sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
