Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Pad Replacement



Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim panel.
2. Remove the I/P outer trim covers.
3. Remove the I/P left trim panels.
4. Remove the I/P right trim panel.
5. Remove the I/P compartment.
6. Remove the knee bolster.
7. Remove the cluster trim bezel assembly.
8. Remove the cluster.
9. Remove the I/P center trim panel.
10. Remove the HVAC control module.
11. Remove the radio.
12. Remove the ignition switch wire harness connectors.
13. Remove the park lock cable at the ignition switch.




14. Remove the I/P trim pad screws.
15. Move the I/P trim pad enough to access the ambient light sensor.
16. Remove the ambient light sensor.




17. Remove the I/P pad.
18. Remove the ignition switch from the I/P pad.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the ignition switch from the I/P pad.




2. Install the I/P pad.
3. Install the ambient light sensor.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Tighten the I/P trim pad screws.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

5. Install the park lock cable at the ignition switch.
6. Install the ignition switch wire harness connectors.
7. Install the radio.
8. Install the HVAC control module.
9. Install the I/P center trim panel.
10. Install the cluster.
11. Install the cluster trim bezel assembly.
12. Install the knee bolster.
13. Install the I/P compartment.
14. Install the I/P right trim panel.
15. Install the I/P left trim panels.
16. Install the I/P outer trim covers.
17. Install the I/P upper trim panel.
