Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - Replacement



INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: The ignition switch must be in the OFF position when removing the instrument cluster.





1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) cluster trim plate.

2. Remove the instrument cluster screws.

3. Pull the instrument cluster towards you and disconnect the electrical connector.

4. Remove the instrument cluster from the instrument panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Connect the electrical connector to the instrument cluster.

2. Install the instrument cluster to the instrument panel.

NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the instrument cluster screws.

Tighten
Tighten the instrument cluster screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

4. Install the instrument panel cluster trim plate.

5. If a new instrument cluster was installed, program the cluster using the Tech 2. Contact the vehicle dealership for programming software, and procedures.
