Backup Lamp: Service and Repair

BACKUP LAMP REPLACEMENT (MONTE CARLO)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the screws from the backup lamp.
2. Remove the backup lamp from the rear bumper fascia.




3. Remove the backup lamp socket, turning counterclockwise.
4. Remove the backup lamp bulb from the socket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the backup lamp bulb to the socket.
2. Install the backup lamp socket, turning clockwise.




3. Install the backup lamp to the rear bumper fascia.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the screws to the backup lamp.

Tighten
Tighten the backup lamp screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
