Exhaust Tail Pipe Flow Valve Vacuum Pipe Replacement - Chassis Rear

Removal Procedure




1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the right side muffler assembly.
3. Remove the intermediate pipe assembly.
4. Disconnect the vacuum line quick connect fitting (1) located on the left side of the vehicle forward of the rear drive module.




5. Remove the bolts from the retainer straps (4) along the length of the rear chassis vacuum line.
6. Disconnect the rear chassis vacuum line quick connect fitting (3).
7. Remove the rear chassis vacuum line from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the vacuum line to the vehicle.
2. Connect the rear chassis vacuum line quick connect fitting (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the bolts to the retainer straps (4) along the length of the rear chassis vacuum line.

Tighten the vacuum line strap bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




4. Connect the vacuum line quick connect fitting (1) located on the left side of the vehicle forward of the rear drive module.
5. Install the intermediate pipe assembly.
6. Install the right side muffler assembly.
7. Lower the vehicle.
