Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (6.0L)

Removal Procedure




1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the intermediate pipes.
3. Remove the oxygen sensors.

* Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 Sensor 1
* Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 Sensor 2

Important: DO NOT reuse the gasket between the catalytic convertor and the exhaust manifold. Use new only.

4. Remove the mounting nuts (3) and gasket (1) from the exhaust manifold.
5. Remove the catalytic convertor (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the NEW exhaust gasket (1) on the catalytic convertor (2).
2. Position the catalytic convertor (2) on the exhaust manifold.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the mounting nuts (3) for the catalytic convertor (2).

Tighten the mounting nuts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

4. Install the oxygen sensors.

5. Install the intermediate pipes.
6. Lower the vehicle.
