Windshield Washer Spray Nozzle: Service and Repair



Washer Nozzle Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Lift the wiper arm to the service-up position.
2. Pull upward on the lower washer nozzle hose to release some additional length of hose into the wiper arm cavity.




3. Using a small flat-bladed tool, remove the upper wrap-around washer nozzle from the wiper arm.

Important: Do not bend the washer nozzle retaining tab on the wiper arm.

4. Carefully unseat the lower washer nozzle from beneath the metal retaining tab on the wiper arm by gently lifting upward on the tab.




5. Disconnect the lower washer nozzle from the lower washer nozzle hose.
6. Remove the upper and lower washer nozzle from the upper washer nozzle hose.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the upper and lower washer nozzle to the upper washer nozzle hose.
2. Connect the lower washer nozzle to the lower washer nozzle hose.

Important: Do not bend the washer nozzle retaining tab on the wiper arm.

3. Carefully position the lower washer nozzle underneath the metal retaining tab on the wiper arm by gently lifting upward on the tab.




4. Install the upper washer nozzle to the wiper arm. Ensure that the nozzle is fully seated into the dimple on the wiper arm. Ensure that the retaining feature on the upper washer nozzle is snapped securely.
5. Pull downward on the lower washer nozzle hose to pull any additional length through the wiper arm. Ensure that the lower washer hose lays flush against the wiper arm in the cavity.
6. Reposition the wiper arm to the windshield.
7. Inspect the washers for proper operation.
