Subject: Visor Mounted Garage Door Opener Will Not Program / Universal Home Remote System Does Not Operate Customers Garage Door
Models:
2009-2011 Chevrolet Corvette
Some customers may comment that the Universal Home Remote System (UHRS) built into the driver sunvisor will not program.
Customers may not be programming the Universal Home Remote System correctly, and have not contacted the toll-free telephone assistance line (listed in owners manual) to help with their issue.
Customers should be advised to first reset the Universal Home Remote System buttons on their car. This is accomplished by pushing and holding the two outside buttons (white arrows in photo) located on the driver's side sunvisor for approximately 20 seconds. The lights will not illuminate at this time.

When the lights above the buttons begin to blink rapidly, the unit's memory has been cleared.

Once the Universal Home Remote System is reset, owners should be requested to attempt to reprogram it to their own garage opener. This can only be accomplished at their home. Customers should be advised that when the Universal Home Remote System is reset, it will remove all stored codes for all applications.
