Exhaust Tail Pipe Flow Valve Vacuum Pipe Replacement - Chassis Rear (Intermediate Vacuum Pipe Between Front and Rear Chassis Vacuum Pipes-LSA)

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Remove the exhaust muffler intermediate heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement.




3. Disconnect the quick connect fitting (1) to the front chassis vacuum line (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Procedures.

4. Disconnect the vacuum hose fitting (3) to the intermediate pipe and remove the intermediate vacuum pipe from the parking brake cable with the clips (4).

5. Remove the intermediate vacuum pipe between the front and rear chassis vacuum pipes.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the front chassis vacuum pipe (2) to the intermediate vacuum pipe quick connect fitting (1).

2. Connect the rear chassis quick connect fitting (3) to the intermediate vacuum pipe and connect the retainer clips (4) to the park brake cable.

3. Install the exhaust muffler intermediate heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement.

4. Install the rear muffler.
