Correction - Vehicles in Service

1. Remove the mirror from the door as per service instructions.

2. Remove rubber gasket from mirror paying careful attention not to tear foam tape. Refer to Figure 1.

3. Using scissors cut two strips of Gaffer/Race tape 5mm x 28mm and one strip 5mm x 47mm (standard Gaffer/Race tape roll width). Refer to Figure 2 and 3.

4. Carefully apply the long strip of Gaffer/Race tape around the circumference of the front attachment point. Refer to Figure 4 and 5.

5. Using the shorter Gaffer/Race tape strips repeat step 4 to the rear attachment points (do not tape over the ribs). The tape should not be crushed or folded over and form an open cylinder around the screw hole. Refer to Figure 6 and 7.

6. Carefully re-attach the rubber gasket to the mirror housing, making sure the tape slides properly through the holes of the gasket and is not crushed or folded under the gasket. Refer to Figure 8.

7. Using your finger, rub the foam along its length to make sure it sticks to the mirror housing. Refer to Figure 9.

8. Re-attach the mirror to the car.
