Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF)/air intake temperature (IAT) wiring harness connector (2) to mass air flow (MAF)/air intake temperature (IAT) sensor (1).





2. Loosen the air intake duct to MAF/IAT sensor retaining clamp (2).

3. Loosen the upper air cleaner body to MAF/IAT sensor retaining clamp (1).

4. Remove the air intake duct from the mass air flow MAF/IAT sensor.

5. Remove the MAF/IAT sensor from the upper air cleaner body.

Installation Procedure





Note:
Make sure that the arrow on the MAF/IAT sensor is pointing to the front, radiator, indicate the proper air flow direction. The arrow must point toward the engine.

1. Install the MAF/IAT sensor to the upper air cleaner body.

2. Install the air intake duct to the MAF/IAT sensor.

3. Position the retaining clamps (1 and 2) to the MAF/IAT sensor.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Tighten the MAF/IAT retaining clamps (1 and 2) to 2 Nm (18 lb in).





5. Connect the MAF/IAT wiring harness connector (2) to the MAF/IAT sensor.

6. If re-programming is required, refer to Control Module References Control Module References.
