Body Control Module Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary).
Warning:
Refer to SIR Warning SIR Warning.
2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Service and Repair.
3. Remove the left floor air outlet duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side (LHD) Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side (LHD).
4. Disconnect the body control module (BCM) electrical connectors (1) from the BCM (2).
Note:
Release the lower retaining clips (1), lift the BCM and unhook the upper retaining clip (2).
5. Remove the BCM and the bracket assembly (3).
6. Remove the BCM from the bracket.
Installation Procedure
Note:
Locate the upper retaining clip (2) and engage the lower retaining clips (1).
1. Install the BCM and bracket assembly (3).
2. Connect the body control module (BCM) electrical connectors (1) to the BCM (2).
3. Install the left floor air outlet duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side (LHD) Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side (LHD).
Warning:

4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Service and Repair.
5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary).
