Exhaust Tail Pipe Flow Valve Vacuum Pipe Replacement - Chassis Front (LSA)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the intake manifold front cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Front Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Front.

2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

3. Remove the exhaust muffler intermediate heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement.




4. Disconnect the exhaust tail pipe flow control vacuum check valve hose (1) from the exhaust tail pipe flow valve vacuum pipe (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Procedures.




5. Disconnect the exhaust tail pipe flow valve vacuum pipe (2) from the vacuum pipe retainers (1).




6. Disconnect the exhaust tail pipe flow valve front vacuum pipe (2) from the intermediate rear vacuum pipe (1).

7. Remove the front chassis vacuum pipe (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect the intermediate rear vacuum pipe (1) to the exhaust tail pipe flow valve vacuum pipe (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Procedures.




2. Connect the front chassis vacuum line (2) to the underbody with the retainers (1).




3. Connect the exhaust tail pipe flow control vacuum check valve hose (1) to the exhaust tail pipe flow valve vacuum pipe (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Procedures.

4. Install the intake manifold front cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Front Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Front.

5. Install the exhaust muffler intermediate heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement.

6. Install the rear muffler.
