Transaxle Assembly Identification Information

The manual and automatic transaxle each has its own code location and explanation.

MANUAL TRANSAXLE

Four-Speed 76 MM

The code is stamped on a diagonal case surface directly beneath the clutch lever cable reaction bracket.

The Muncie 76 mm stamp consists of two (2) alpha and three (3) numeric characters as shown below:

AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE

THM 125C Three-Speed Automatic

The code is located on a stamped metal tag adjacent to the shifter shaft on the transaxle.

The THM 125C/440 T4 stamp consists of one (1) alpha and five
(5) numeric characters as shown below. In addition, a sequence number is stamped below the date build code.

THM 440 T4 Four-Speed Automatic

The code is located on a stamped metal tag on the rear face of the transaxle case adjacent to right hand axle opening.

Canadian produced transaxles will start with source ID code, build date, model year code and engineering change level number.
