Display Dimming Operation

The electronic displays run at full intensity when park lamps are OFF and ignition is ON. When the park lamps and ignition are both ON, the electronic displays are continuously variable from bright to dim by the panel lamps rheostat. The turn signal indicators are held at full bright at all times.

When the headlamp switch is in PARK or HEAD, the cluster senses that the lights are on through the BRN(9) wire. This allows the display brightness to be controlled by the panel and dome light switch through the GRY(8) wire.
