Tachometer: Description and Operation

The tachometer display shows engine revolutions per minute (RPM). The tachometer is connected to the WHT(121) wire.

The 2.8L (VIN R) engine has a total range of 0-6500 rpm. The yellow warning region has a range from 5500-6000 rpm and the red warning region has a range from 6000-6500 rpm.

The 4.3L (VIN Z) engine has a total range of 0-5500 rpm. The yellow warning region has a range from 4500-5000 rpm and the red warning region has a range from 5000-5500 rpm.
