Subject: PRODUCT EMISSION CAMPAIGN 89C15 EMISSION LABEL INSTALLATION

Model and Year: 1989 R/V 2500 SERIES SUBURBAN W/5.7L (RPO L05) ENGINE (FLINT ASSEMBLY PLANT VEHICLES ONLY)
TO: ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

General Motors has determined that certain 1989 Chevrolet R/V 2500 Series Suburban trucks equipped with 5.7L engines, built at the Flint Assembly Plant, were shipped without the specified emission (tune-up) label which is required by the Clean Air Act.

To correct this condition, it will be necessary to install a new label on the radiator support.

Since a label can be easily installed and to reduce owner inconvenience, the label will be sent with instructions directly to owners of record. Owners may install the label on the radiator support of their vehicle. However, if they desire, they may bring the label to their servicing Chevrolet Dealer for installation at no charge.
