Compressor HVAC: Service and Repair

Compressor Installation:

Compressor Component View:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Refrigerant from the system.
3. Engine cover.
4. Drive belt.
5. Electrical connections.
6. Manifold at the rear of the compressor.
7. Bolt from hose clamp.
8. Mounting bolts.
9. Compressor.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Compressor.
2. Mounting bolts.

Tighten
^ Front bolts to 43 N.m (32 ft. lbs.).
^ Rear bolt to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).

3. Manifold at the rear of the compressor.
4. Electrical connections.
5. Drive belt.
6. Engine cover.
7. Refrigerant to the system.
8. Negative battery cable.
^ Leak test.
