Tachometer: Description and Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
As the field in the primary coil of the ignition coil rises and collapses, an Alternating Current (AC) signal is produced. This signal is sent through CKT 121 directly to the tachometer. The tachometer converts the AC signal to engine speed.
