Troubleshooting Hints - Interior Lights

START DIAGNOSTICS HERE
Perform the checks listed below before consulting the Diagnostic Charts.

1. Check RD01/AUX Fuse by noting operation of the Radio.

2. Check CTSY Fuse and AUX Fuse.

3. If all Courtesy Lamps remain on at all times, disconnect each Jamb Switch until the Courtesy Lamps turn "OFF." Replace the defective switch. If Courtesy Lamps remain "ON" after all Jamb Switches are disconnected, repair short to ground in CKT 156.

NOTE: If the vehicle is equipped with the Passive Keyless Entry/Security System, refer to Passive Keyless Entry/Security System. Antitheft and Alarm Systems

^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity or voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).

^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
