Tachometer: Description and Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
As the field in the primary coil rise and collapses, the Alternating Current (AC) signal that is produced is sensed by the Ignition Control (IC) module. This signal is sent through CKT 121 directly to the tachometer. The tachometer converts the AC signal to engine speed.
