Accumulator:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Discharge and recover refrigerant from the system.
3. Evaporator (10) from accumulator (6).
4. Compressor hose assembly (3) from accumulator (6).
5. O-ring seals.
- Cap or plug the open lines.
6. Electrical connectors, as necessary.
7. Screw (38) and bracket (40).
8. Accumulator (6).
- Install sealing caps if accumulator is not being replaced.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
NOTICE: For steps 2, 5, and 6, refer to "Fasteners" under "Vehicle Damage Warnings."
1. Accumulator (6). Refer to "Refrigerant Oil Distribution," if replacing accumulator. Service and Repair
2. Bracket (40) and screw (38).
3. Electrical connectors, as necessary.
4. New O-ring seals.
5. Compressor hose assembly (3) to accumulator (6).
- Tighten compressor hose (3) to 41 Nm (30 lbs. ft.).
6. Evaporator (10) to accumulator (6).
- Tighten evaporator (10) to 41 Nm (30 lbs. ft.).
7. Negative battery cable.
8. Refrigerant to the system.
- Check the system for leaks.
