New product information for 1994 HYDRA-MATIC 4L60-E transmissions. An enhanced low and reverse support to case retainer ring (ill. 676) has been released. The new low and reverse support to case retainer ring has been enhanced to contact the case ring groove around the entire ring. This will ultimately improve the retention of the ring. Also, the low and reverse support to case retainer ring must be located with the opening in the five o'clock position as shown in Figure 1.
NOTE:
The GMC Bulletin No. 367106 Automatic Transmission Service Procedure, will remain in effect for GMC trucks only.
DATE OF PRODUCTION CHANGE:
On August 08, 1993 the HYDRA-MATIC 4L60-E transmissions were built with the new low and reverse support to case retainer ring.
SERVICE PARTS INFORMATION:
Parts are expected to be available on February 28, 1994.
