Models:
1995 Chevrolet and GMC Truck M/L Vans
with HYDRA-MATIC 4L60-E (RPO M30) and 4.3L Engine (RPO L35)
VIN Breakpoints Prior to 255435 - Chevrolet
VIN Breakpoints Prior to 559796 - GMC Truck

Condition

Some owners may experience a driveline growl noise and/or vibration in fourth gear after the [1][2]torque converter clutch is applied.

Cause

[1][2]Torque converter clutch apply speed is too low.

Correction

Check the PROM identification to be sure that the vehicle has not been updated. Replace PROM with the appropriate part number listed below. Refer to your service manual for proper procedure.
