Preliminary Checks

1. Prior to beginning wiper motor test, check the following items:
a. Check continuity of all harness wires.
b. Check wiper motor to cowl mounting screws are tight.
c. Check fuses.
d. Check washer hoses are clear.
e. Check for motor operation before removing from vehicle.

f. Disconnect all wiring from wiper, then perform wiper motor check, Fig. 116, in the numbered order.
2. Prior to beginning wiper/washer switch test, perform the following:
3. Disconnect wiring harness from wiper motor.
4. Place ignition switch in the On position.

5. Using a digital voltmeter, begin switch test, Fig. 117.
