Ignition Control Module: Testing and Inspection

The ignition control module receives signals from the 3X crankshaft position sensor. This signal is sent to the VCM as a 5V digital signal. The VCM uses this input as part of its final calculation for Ignition Control (IC) timing. Refer to Enhanced Ignition System for more information on the Electronic Ignition (El) system.
