C0088
ABS/Brake Warning Lamp Circuit Schematic:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The red BRAKE warning lamp is supplied ignition voltage through the GAUGE fuse. The BRAKE warning lamp can be illuminated by the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM), Brake Pressure Differential Switch or by the Park Brake Switch.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTCS
^ High voltage on BRAKE warning lamp circuit when expected to be low (lamp commanded on). Anything that keeps the BRAKE warning lamp circuit high when the lamp is supposed to be illuminated such as a short to voltage on CKT 33.
ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC
^ ABS is not disabled
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
^ Conditions for setting the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) are repaired and the Scan Tool clear (DTCs) function is used.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
DTC C0088 is typically set by a short to voltage in the wiring between the BRAKE warning lamp and the EBCM or a faulty EBCM.
