Cruise Control Servo Cable: Service and Repair
Cruise Control Cable Module Connection:
Cruise Control Cable Throttle Body Connection:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The engine cover from the vehicle.
2. Pull the cruise control cable from the throttle lever pin.
3. Squeeze the retaining tabs on the cruise control cable to release the cable from the bracket.
4. The cruise control cable from the bracket on the engine.
5. The air cleaner assembly from the vehicle.
6. The cruise control cable from the retaining clip on the fan shroud.
7. The nuts retaining the cruise control module bracket to the cowl.
8. The cruise control module and bracket assembly away from the studs on the cowl.
9. The cruise control cable from the cruise control module.
10. The cruise control cable bead from the end of the ribbon on the cruise control module.
11. The cruise control cable from the vehicle.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The cruise control cable to the vehicle.
2. The cruise control cable bead to the end of the ribbon on the cruise control module.
3. The cruise control cable to the cruise control module.
4. Route the cruise control cable from the cruise control module to the throttle lever.
5. The cruise control module and bracket assembly to the studs on the cowl.
6. The nuts to retain the cruise control bracket to the cowl.
Tighten
^ The nuts to retain the cruise control module bracket to the cowl to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
7. The cruise control cable to the retaining clip on the fan shroud.
8. The cruise control cable to the bracket on the engine.
9. Push the cruise control cable into the bracket to engage the retaining tabs on the cruise control cable with the bracket.
10. The cruise control cable to the throttle lever pin by pushing the retainer on the end of the cruise control cable onto the throttle lever pin.
11. The engine cover to the vehicle.
12. The air cleaner assembly to the vehicle.
