General Information
Voltage is applied at all times from the PARK I/P Fuse to the Headlamp and instrument panel lamp dimmer switch through circuit 1340. When the Headlamp and instrument panel lamp dimmer switch is in INT, voltage is applied from the body control module through circuit 156, and also to the underhood lamp and interior lamps override switch through circuit 1393. If the override switch is in the ON position, then voltage is supplied through circuit 328 to all reading, visor vanity, cargo, dome, courtesy and instrument panel compartment lamps. If the override switch is OFF, then none of the interior lamps will illuminate. When a door is opened a ground signal is sent to the body control module which applies the ground through circuit 690 to the instrument panel courtesy lamps, windshield header courtesy/reading lamps, dome lamp, and the cargo lamp which, if the interior lamps override switch is in the ON position, will turn these lamps on.
