Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the door frame garnish molding.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector under the headliner.
3. Remove the center high-mounted stoplamp (CHMSL) retaining screws.
4. Remove the CHMSL from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the CHMSL to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices

2. Install the CHMSL retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the CHMSL retaining screws to 1.9 N-m (17 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector under the headliner.
4. Install the rear door frame garnish molding.
