Antenna: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the radio from the instrument panel.
2. Attach a piece of mechanics wire to the antenna cable in order to aid in the removal and installation of the cable through the windshield side pillar and instrument panel.
3. Remove the antenna mast screws.
4. Remove the antenna mast from the vehicle by guiding the mechanics wire attached to the antenna cable (2) through the windshield side pillar (1).
5. Remove the mechanics wire from the antenna cable.
6. Leave the mechanics wire in the windshield side pillar in order to aid in the antenna installation procedure.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the mechanics wire to the antenna cable.
2. Guide the antenna cable and mast (1) through the windshield side pillar (2) with the aid of the mechanics wire.
3. Install the antenna mast screws.
4. Remove the mechanics wire from the antenna cable.
5. Install the radio to the instrument panel.
