Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the IP compartment.
3. Disable the SIR system.
4. Remove the fuse block.
5. Remove the IP cluster.
6. Remove the steering column.
7. Remove the hood release handle.
8. Remove the front floor console.
9. Remove the audio system.
10. Remove the heater A/C controls.
11. Remove the switch bank.
12. Remove the instrument panel upper trim.
13. Remove the knee bolster.
14. Remove the headlamp switch.
15. Remove the bolts/screws (1) that secure the instrument panel (3) to the body.
16. Lift up from the bottom of the instrument panel in order to release the IP top retainers.
17. Remove the wiring harness.
18. Remove the instrument panel (3) from the body.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: The instrument panel will rest off of the lower mounts when you lower the instrument panel. This will aid in the routing of the wiring harness. Prop the instrument panel up in order to route the harness, as needed.

1. Perform the following steps in order to install the instrument panel (2) to the body:
1.1. Secure the top retainers.
1.2. Lower the instrument panel.
2. Install the wiring harness.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the bolts/screws (1) to the instrument panel body (3).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts/screws to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

4. Install the headlamp switch.
5. Install the knee bolster.
6. Install the instrument panel upper trim.
7. Install the switch bank.
8. Install the heater A/C controls.
9. Install the audio system.
10. Install the front floor console.
11. Install the hood release handle.
12. Install the steering column.
13. Install the IP cluster.
14. Install the fuse block.
15. Enable the SIR system.
16. Remove the IP compartment.
17. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure. Service and Repair
