Underhood Lamp: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open and suitably support the hood.
2. Disconnect the harness electrical connector from the underhood lamp.
3. Use a small, flat-bladed tool in order to release the lower underhood lamp retainers from the hood.
4. Pull out and down in order to release the upper tab.
5. Remove the underhood lamp from the hood.




6. Remove the harness retainers from the underside of the hood.
7. Remove the harness from the hood.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Align the harness retainers to the holes in the underside of the hood.
2. Press in the retainers.




3. Align the lower tab on the lamp to the lower slot in the underside of the hood.
4. Press the lamp down into the slot.
5. Align the upper tab to the top slot.
6. Snap the tab into the slot.
7. Connect the harness electrical connector to the underhood lamp.
8. Close the hood.
