Audible Warnings Circuit Description

Fasten Safety Belts Warning Alarm

The fasten safety belt warning alarm is an electronically timed alarm which will sound for approximately eight seconds after the ignition switch is placed in RUN. The audio alarm module's fasten safety belt warning alarm also incorporates an indicator lamp within the driver information center printed circuit board. The indicator lamp is an electronically timed visual reminder that lights for approximately 75 seconds after the ignition switch is placed in RUN.

Lamps-On Warning Alarm

When the headlamp switch is in the HEAD or PARK position, the voltage is applied through the DOME/PANEL circuit breaker to the audio alarm module. When voltage is sensed at the instrument panel lamp feed terminal in the audio alarm mode and there is an absence of voltage at the ignition terminal, the lamps-on warning alarm will sound. The lamps-on warning alarm is silenced either by turning the headlamp switch to the OFF position , or by turning the ignition switch to the RUN position.
