Condenser Fan
The [1][2]condenser fan is crucial for the proper operation of the air conditioning system. The fan ensures a sufficient amount of airflow across the condenser throughout the vehicle's operating range. Inspect the fan during all air conditioning diagnosis procedures. Give particular attention to the fan whenever excessive high-side pressure is encountered.The [1][2]condenser fan is designed to operate when any one of the following conditions are met:
^ The A/C system is operating.
^ The engine coolant temperature is 110°C (230°F) or higher.
^ The PCM detects an Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor malfunction.
