Air Temperature Door Replacement (C60)

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
3. Remove the HVAC module assembly. Refer to Heater/Vent Module Replacement Service and Repair.
4. Remove the screws from the case cover (10) of the HVAC module.




5. Separate the module halves.
6. Disconnect the air temperature actuator (6) from the air temperature door (17).
7. Remove the air temperature door (17) from blower motor case (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the air temperature door (17) to the blower motor case (1).
2. Connect the air temperature actuator (6) to the air temperature door (17). Refer to Air Temperature Actuator Replacement Air Temperature Actuator Replacement.




3. Install the module halves.
4. Install the screws to the case cover (10) to the HVAC module.
5. Install the HVAC module assembly. Refer to Heater/Vent Module Replacement Service and Repair.
6. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
7. Fill the engine cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
