Transmission System Description and Operation
The New Venture Gear 1500 transmission is a 5-speed unit that is synchronized in all gears. The transmission has a 2 piece aluminum housing, which consists of the following components:

^ The reverse idler gear
^ The shift forks
^ The shift shaft components
The NV 1500 transmission is used in trucks with the 2.2 L engine.
