Antenna: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the antenna mast.
2. Remove the retainer nut.
3. Remove the bezel.
4. Remove the IP compartment assembly.
5. Disconnect the antenna cable from the extension cable.
6. Remove the right front fender.
7. Remove the retaining screw (1), that holds the fixed antenna (2) to the bracket (3).
8. From outside of the vehicle, pull the antenna base and cable assembly (2) from the bracket (3) and the pull cable (4) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the antenna base and cable assembly (2) to the bracket (3).
2. Tighten retaining screw (1).
3. Run cable (4) through access hole (5) until the cable can be connected and grommet seated.
4. Install the cable grommet to the body.
5. Connect the antenna cable (1) to the cable extension (2).
6. Install the IP compartment assembly.
7. Install the right front fender.

NOTE: Use tape on the tool surface so that you do not damage the paint on the antenna mast.

8. Install the antenna mast.
