DTC P0A80

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The following DTCs are for the batteries located in the energy storage box (ESB) :
- P0A7D is for the hybrid battery state of charge low.
- P0A7F is for the hybrid battery pack life.
- P0A80 is for the replace hybrid battery pack.

Battery voltage sensors allow the energy storage control module (ESCM) to monitor the voltage of the batteries in the energy storage box. The ESCM monitors the voltage drop across the battery voltage sensors and uses the inputs for hybrid calculations.

This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC P0A80 Replace Hybrid Battery Pack

CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
The ignition is ON.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC

DTC P0A7D: The state of charge, as determined by the ESCM, is below the minimum state of charge by at least 5 percent.

DTC P0A7F: The state of charge, as determined by the ESCM, is below the minimum state of charge by at least 10 percent.

DTC P0A80: The battery pack does not have enough power and/or energy to perform a key crank event.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
- The DTC will become history if the ESCM no longer detects a fault.
- The history DTC will clear after 100 fault-free ignition cycles.
- The DTC can be cleared with a scan tool.
